Matthias Ditzen-Blanke is Publisher and Managing Director of the Nordsee-Zeitung media group in Bremerhaven, Germany. He represents the fifth generation of his family in regional publishing and leads a diversified media company with strong roots in local and regional journalism. Since 2023, he has served as Chairman of the German Federal Association of Digital Publishers and Newspaper Publishers (BDZV). In this role, he advocates for a strong, independent press, fair digital markets, effective platform regulation and sustainable conditions for journalism in the digital age.
