  • Carlo Perrone

    Honorary President

    Carlo Perrone is an Italian Publisher born in 1956.  Until 2014 he owned 100% of leading daily newspaper of Genova and Liguria, Il Secolo XIX, one of Italy’s larger regional dailies.

    Since 2015 Il Secolo XIX has merged with La Stampa of Torino, creating a new, much larger and stronger multimedia group with a dominant position in North West of Italy: Italiana Editrice SpA. 

    Carlo Perrone has been the President of ENPA from 2016 to 2020 and was elected Honorary President since 2024. He is Board member of GEDI Gruppo Editoriale S.p.A and a member of the Chairman’s Committee of the Italian Federation of Newspaper Publishers (FIEG).

    Mr Carlo Perrone is now Vice-President of Italiana Editrice (President is John Elkann, Chairman of Fiat Chrysler Automobile).

    He was board member of the World Association of Newspapers (WAN). Also, Executive Board member of Ansa (Italian national news agency).

    Mr. Perrone is a member of the International Advisory Board of Sotheby’s.

  • Valdo Lehari Jr.

    Valdo Lehari Jr. is CEO and Publisher of Reutlinger General-Anzeiger Verlag in Germany. He has been a member of the Executive Board of Directors of Reutlinger General-Anzeiger since 1985. Previously, he was the  Assistant of the Managing Director at the newspaper General-Anzeiger Bonn. He has also been Managing Director and CEO of “Radio RT 4” since its foundation in 1986.

    Vice-President since November 2010 – after serving as its President for two terms, the maximum term allowed under the organisation´s statutes, he was elected Honorary President of ENPA this May 2026. Since 2001, he has been Chairman of the Executive Board and President of the Association of Newspaper Publishers of Southwest Germany, “Verband Südwestdeutscher Zeitungsverleger e.V. (VSZV),” Stuttgart.

    He has been a member of the Supervisory Board of dpa, Hamburg since June 2005. He has also been a Member of the Board "Bundesverband Deutscher Zeitungsverleger e.V. (BDZV)," Berlin since 2001. In December 2010, he was appointed honorary senator of the University of Tübingen. In addition, he has been active for many years in various committees at the regional, federal and federal state level for more than 20 years.

  • Heinrich Coninx Hans

    Dr. Coninx was President of the Board of Directors of the Swiss publishing company Tamedia for 20 years, retiring in 2007. His family has owned Tages-Anzeiger, Tamedia's flagship publication, for over a hundred years.

    From  1993 to 2003, he was President of the Publishers Association  Swiss Media.  He is currently President of the Board of Directors of the Swiss news agency, Schweizerische Depeschenagentur (SDA).  As well as being member of the Executive Committee and the Board  of ENPA,  Dr. Coninx  is member of the Executive Board of the World Association of Newspapers (WAN)

    Dr. Coninx is well known for his involvement in cultural activities, most notably as President of the Zurich Chamber Orchestra and the Zurich University of Arts. He is also a dedicated  philanthropist, namely through his work with the Orpheum Foundation for the Advancement of Young Soloists  promoting  talented young   musicians. In addition he is a board member of the Swiss Multiple Sclerosis Society.

    In  2009  became  a member of the Board of Directors of Rothschild Bank.
